Founder & General Manager
Mike is a Great Dane owner and lover of all dogs. Originally from New York, he has lived in the areas of Calabasas, Woodland Hills, and Bell Canyon for over 35 years. He is a semi-retired, empty-nest father of two adult children, and now works and resides at home in Woodland Hills West with his two Great Dane children, Chico and Duke. Duke is Mike’s seventh Great Dane, a journey beginning in the late 80s. His love for the breed began at a young age. Mike loves his dogs and takes pride in giving them a fun and happy life. He loves to share his large backyard and comfortable living space with as many dogs as he can.
In 2024, Mike, Chico and Duke started a doggy daycare for select neighbors with dogs in need of a comfortable second home to hang out in while their owners are away. Whether for a few hours or a few weeks, we believe in providing a playful and safe environment for your dog, allowing them to feel at home in our fully social environment.

C.E.O.
Chico is a 7-year old Great Dane with a calm and observant demeanor. He’s smarter than he lets on. He sleeps in every morning, sometimes until noon, before pretending he’s afraid to come down the stairs. (If no ones around he runs right down). Chico loves to socialize at the park, play at the beach, and lounge on the couch or by the fireplace. He loves all people and has no interest in competing for the role of top dog.

Small and mighty, Duke is a 3-year old Great Dane who stepped into the boss role as soon as he joined the family. When he’s not walking Chico by holding the leash in his mouth and taking him where he’s supposed to go, he loves to roll in the grass and run like a thoroughbred. He gets along with all dogs but loves his dad the most. Duke is the brains of the Chico & Duke operation.
Chico and Duke, are the gentlest of giants, get along with all dogs and love company and play dates. They play with dogs who want to play, respect other dogs’ boundaries and are super gentle and accommodating to all, taking extra care with small breeds.
